A Few of My Favourite Things in December

Hello everybody

I thought I would take some inspiration from The Sound of Music and show you a few of my favourite things... but don't panic there are no videos of me singing just some pics and a bit of an explanation of some of the things I've been loving during this December.

Perfect Kiss Lipstick in Red Embrace

This lipstick is just a gorgeous colour and I love the mirrored packaging too.  It comes out in Avon brochure 3 along with 23 more kissable new shades and is a snip at just £5 each.  Plus if you spend £10 or more across selected makeup in the brochure you can get a free Valentines Day Gift set.

Hello Kitty kids Overnight bag.

So I know that this is technically a kids overnight bag but I thinks its so cute and I use it as a handbag.  I got it from Avon a few campaigns ago for £9.99.  For me its the perfect combination of bag and Hello Kitty!

Lantern and Heart Fairy Lights

I really wanted something unusual to light my room on cold winter nights and during a trip to Ikea I found these pretty heart lights on a string almost straight away.  It was then a hunt the rest of the evening to find something to display them in.  And the lantern was the last thing I found!  These lights are battery operated so you can put them anywhere and the lantern is really designed for candles but I wanted to do something a bit different.

Skin So Soft Skindisiac Silky Lotion

This is the latest addition to the iconic Avon Skin So Soft range and will be released in brochure 3 at just £2.25.  The lotion has sensual passionfruit oil and smells amazing.  My skin gets so dry during the winter with the central heating and layers of clothes so a good body lotion is essential for me.

Antique Brooch
I brought this beautiful brooch at an antiques fair in Wells when I was there on holiday with my family.  I love finding unusual pieces at antique fairs and markets and I have never seen anything like it since.  I usually use this brooch to fasten my cape but its also looks fab on a coat lapel.

My Mums homemade gluten free cakes

About two years ago I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease called Coeliac Disease which means my body gets confused and ill when I eat gluten which is in wheat.  This means that when everyone else is tucking in to cake and coffee at Starbucks I can only watch in envy.  So my Mum took on the challenge and set about finding the perfect gluten free cake recipes... and she has succedeed.  This two are gluten free lemon drizzle cakes and thenks to her I never miss out again.  Hugs to you Mum xx

So those are my favourite December things.  Have a great weekend.

Jen xoxo
