Hello Everyone
I had a fab day- went to visit my new baby twin cousins and they are sooooooo cute!!
Today's post I'm going to show you my all round party hair look- it looks good from the front, back and sides.
First off here is the kit I used:
And this is how I did it...
Firstly I washed and conditioned my hair. I mentioned in an earlier post that I normally used the Advance Techniques Colour Protection shampoo and conditioner but I love to try new things so I can review them. That's why this time I thought I would try out this Naturals shampoo and conditioner and I was very impressed. They smell amazing and left my hair feeling healthy and soft. They are a bargain too- in Brochure 3 the shampoo is available in a 700ml bottle for just £1.99. If you get through as much shampoo as I do you'll know this is a real money saver!
Next i ran the Tigi Hair Meringue (which is basically a mousse) through the mid lengths and ends of my hair to give it some body and then blow dried with a large round barrel brush (that I have had for years). I left my fringe flat and super shiny.
Once it was dry I sprayed the back of my hair with a texturising spray (I used a salt spray) before pulling it in to a ponytail then twisting it round in to a bun, securing it with two black hairbands (or whatever looks best in your hair). I buy hairbands in Primark, £1 for 30.
Then I just rough it up a bit using a comb to backcomb and tease the hair around the bun. My comb is again from Primark. £1 for a set of 2.
Then voila....
An all round party hair-do!!
I love doing this for parties because its easy, quick and won't detract from smouldering make-up or beautiful earrings (the ones in the picture were £1 in Topshops sale). It also stays put all evening which means I don't have to keep fussing with it!
I hope you have enjoyed today's blog. Thanks for checking it out.
Jen xx
